It was not that long ago that I photographed this adorable big sister when she was just a few months old! I loved photographing this new Big Sister and Her New Baby Brother for Pittsburgh sibling photos.
I was so excited when her beautiful Mom contacted me and told me they had another baby and wanted to have another newborn photo session at their Pittsburgh home!
I seriously do a happy dance when families ask me to come back for another photo session! No really, picture Carlton mixed with a little Balki Bartokomous. Am I showing my age here?
I just really am so flattered when a client hires me multiple times to photograph their family. It is like the best form of a compliment that I can receive.
It is always so awesome to see how much the babies that I have photographed have grown. As a Mom to three, I know just how fast these kids grow. In what feels like just a few months, they go from a helpless tiny newborn to a running and climbing and talking independent (they like to think so anyway) little human!
And it was so special to meet her new brother, baby J. I think he looks so much like she did at this age, but with less hair.
When big sister was born, we had her session when she was a few months old, so mom also waited a little longer to do his session. I always tell my clients that we can do a “newborn” session any time in the first few months! Baby does not have to be 7-10 days old! I am more than happy to wait a few weeks or a few months.
I love photographing older babies because they are more alert and smiley!
And this also gives Mom some time to rest and recover and adjust to life with a new baby in the house.
It was extra special to see how sweet she was with her new baby brother! I really enjoyed photographing this new big sister and her new baby brother for sibling photos.
Sometimes it can be a little more challenging to get a toddler in the photos with their new sibling but I will proudly tell you that I have a pretty awesome record of getting these toddler-aged big brothers and big sisters (safely) into the photo with the new baby!
I follow their lead, have plenty of patience and lots of tricks tucked up may sleeve.
This is another perk to having a photo session right at your own home. Your toddler (or older kids) feel safe and comfortable and we can always stop for a snack break!
When I come to photograph your new baby, I will always include the whole family! I cannot help myself from taking a ton of photos of your older kids!
