As a Canfield newborn photographer, I love to capture natural and timeless images of precious new babies.
I have photographed hundreds of newborn babies around Youngstown, OH and Pittsburgh, PA for the last twelve years. When it comes to newborn photography, experience definitely matters!
I take a very organic and natural approach to my newborn photoshoots so I do not like to use props and I am not a fan of posing babies in a bunch of unnatural poses. I prefer to capture a newborn just as they are, perfect and pure. You can read more about my approach to photographing babies, here in this blog post.
My newborn sessions are very laid back and relaxed and they take place right in the comfort of your very own home. I want to capture unique images of your baby and your family in your house. Some parents put a lot of time and thought into their baby’s nursery so I love to get photos in there too!

Having me come to your home for photos vs. having to leave the house to go to a studio for your newborn photos, takes a lot of stress out of having a photo session. I also never set a strict time constraint so if your baby needs fed and changed multiple times, I’m more than happy to take all the time necessary to make them comfortable and happy.
I believe baby is best photographed in the safety and comfort of their parents arms. A majority of my photos will include Mom, Dad and any siblings or fur kids that you might also have! And I love to include the Grandparents, so feel free to invite them over!
However, I also get a variety of images of your baby alone in their crib, cradle, bassinet, on your bed, etc.. And although I do not bring props to your session, I love to use your favorite blankets, swaddles, sleepers etc, into your photos.

Thank you for sharing a different perspective! I personally always go into “host mode” and the idea of going to a studio means I don’t have to clean my house before a photographer comes.
