This is not the first time that I photographed this beautiful Pittsburgh Family!   This was our third session, but our session was different this time because they recently welcomed a second child into their family!  I was so excited to meet their new son and it was crazy to see how big sister went from a baby to a toddler to a talkative three year old!  These little ones have a way of growing up too fast!  Miss J showed me some dance moves, filled her pockets with acorns and she was so thrilled to discover that a bride had left behind some white roses!  Mom and Dad wanted to do the session up on the West End Overlook to get some photos with the cityscape in the background.  Dad works right in downtown Pittsburgh!

I loved Mom’s reaction to seeing her online gallery!

“Oh my GOODNESS these are just. perfect. And by perfect I mean – no one is looking int he same direction, J is making goofy faces, A is drooling, and I completely love it.  These just totally capture her crazy little personality and A’s way more chill 2nd kid vibe!”

I LOVE that Mom is on the same page as me and that she embraces and loves images of real life!  If you follow my work you know that I am all about capturing the true emotions, personalities and expressions from your children.  My goal is not to only have those perfect images where everyone is looking at the camera and smiling (although I do try for a few of those) my goal is to capture the connections between family members.  I want to capture the love and the laughter and yes, even the tears (see below) and baby drool!

I hope to photograph this family again in the future!   If only time could slow down so they do not grow up too fast!  Before they know it baby A will be walking and Miss J will be headed to preschool.   I know all too well how the long days somehow turn themselves into very short years.  It becomes one milestone after another and before you know it, your little ones are not so little anymore.
