Here is a look at one of my recent Fresh 48 Hospital newborn sessions.  These sessions take place in the hospital the day after you have your baby. I was so excited when this Mama contacted me for another photo session!   I have done a few sessions with this family in the past, including a maternity and Fresh 48 for their second baby.  After having two little boys, they just welcomed a baby girl into their beautiful family!   I arrived to the hospital the morning after baby arrived, just before the Grandparents arrived with the big brothers!

Coincidentally, the Grandmother was a co-worker of mine 16 years ago when I was pregnant with my first baby!  It really is a small world and Pittsburgh is a small city. It was pretty neat to run into her again and it reminded me of the time I was pregnant and had my first baby boy.   It also made me wish that I had more than four or five not so great photos from those three days that I stayed at the hospital.  The memories of my birth are pretty faded and the three days in the hospital is a blur.  I remember a constant stream of visitors and nurses coming into the room.  I also barely remember the quiet moments where my husband and I got to just marvel at our little baby.  These are the moments that I want to document for you.   These little babies change so very rapidly in the first weeks of their lives.  They will look different within the first two weeks!  Their little features change and they fill out and grow so fast.  

With this kind of session, I like to wait until the day after baby is born to give the Mom time to rest and adjust.  A Fresh 48 Session is a great alternative to a Birth Session.  I also love being able to photograph the whole family during these sessions.  So I am happy to try and come at a time that the Grandparents and older siblings may be coming to visit the Mom and new baby at the hospital.

I am already done booking sessions for 2018 because my schedule is filled, but I am currently filling my schedule for the Winter and Spring of 2019.   I’m booking from January into May of next year!   Please keep in mind that I only accept a limited number of sessions each month, so do not hesitate to contact me to get the details or to book your session.  I only have a couple spots remaining for birth story sessions, but I still have openings for Fresh 48’s, newborns and in-home family sessions!
