As a newborn photographer, all of the newborn sessions I have photographed in Robinson Township and Greater Pittsburgh over the last 13 years took place in my clients’ homes.
I can (and have) listed so many different reasons why I think your home is the best place for a newborn photo session, but today I am going to mention just one reason:
Your home makes the most UNIQUE backdrop for your photo session!
Just look at the beautiful woodland-themed mural on the wall of this nursery!
When I first walked into the nursery I thought it was wallpaper, then Mom and Dad told me it was a painting!
Not only is it unique, but it is also extra special because the talented artist that painted it is the maternal Grandmother of this precious baby girl!
I love to think of all of the planning, love, artistic talent, and time her Grandmother put into this nursery wall. And I love to think of this little one growing up in this room…
And the mural is even more special because Grandma included the family doggy in the scene! Look under the window next to the bunny!
This little doggy was not so sure of me when I first arrived at their home and she was most likely extra protective of the new little human in their house.
But just like I have a way with babies and toddlers, 99% of my clients’ dogs want to be friends with me after a few minutes. It helps when Dad sneaks you a treat to give to the dog. 😉 I always give the doggies a chance to sniff me and my camera bag before I get too comfortable moving around their house.
Having your fur-baby present for your newborn photo session also makes it more special and unique!
We also took photos in their master bedroom and spare bedroom.
In addition to capturing the uniqueness of my client’s beautiful homes, I love incorporating their personal items into the photos. I always ask mom to pick out a few of her favorite blankets, wraps, and outfits for the baby.
The rainbow blanket is extra special for this beautiful little rainbow baby.
This couple recently purchased this gorgeous and historic home that was built in the early 1900s in the little town of Thornburg, just outside of Robinson Township and a short drive from downtown Pittsburgh. I am a big fan of old homes! They have so much character and uniqueness built right into them!
I quickly snapped this image of Dad and his baby girl in the entryway as we made our way upstairs to the nursery.
As always, it was so wonderful to meet this couple and photograph them with their precious baby girl. Mom contacted me after their baby was already born and a couple of weeks old. I was so happy to be able to fit them into my schedule! It’s never too late to contact me for baby photos!
If you’re looking for a newborn baby photographer in Robinson Township, Thornburg, Crafton, Rosslyn Farm, or the greater Pittsburgh area, please get in touch to inquire about a session! I’d love to plan a unique photo session for your new baby!
