Photos at Home | Family Photographer in Shadyside

I photographed this beautiful family at their Shadyside home two years ago when Miss S was a little newborn baby! I also photographed her while she was still inside her Mama’s belly, at their home and at nearby Mellon Park! I was so excited when Dad contacted me to schedule another session at their beautiful home!

Miss S was feeling a little shy at first, so I suggested that we go play outside in the back yard to give her a chance to be more comfortable around me and my camera.

It didn’t take long for her to get more relaxed around me and be ok with me taking her picture.

Miss S and her Mom and Dad drew some pictures with sidewalk chalk and like most two year olds do, she had a few emotional moments. If you follow my work, then you know that I love to capture the many moods of toddlers and children. It’s more than ok if your child has some moody and emotional moments during your photo session!

After they played in the yard, we headed to their big front porch for more photos. I really love porch photos! Especially when they have a porch swing!

After the front porch, we headed inside to get more photos on Mom and Dad’s bed, the same place we took most of the photos from their newborn session!

I loved after some roughhousing on the bed, I got to capture some tender and cuddly moments with Mom by the window. It was getting close to nap time for this sweet girl, so I knew we only had a little more time before we wrapped up their at- home photo session.

Then after some photos on the bed in their master bedroom, we headed into her adorable bedroom where she climbed into her chair and wanted her furry friends to sit with her for photos! I love taking photos at my clients home because we get to include these special friends and favorite toys!

I also got some snuggly images with her and her Daddy by the window. Check out her newborn photos where some of my favorite images are her and Daddy by the same window! It was so great to see how much she has grown and to spend a couple of hours photographing this beautiful little family!
