Pittsburgh Family Photographer -365 Project | Mary Beth Miller Photography
I am still going strong with my 365 Photo-a-Day Project! I have to admit that I want to pat myself on the back for making it this far! I really never thought I would make it to the end of June!
So far our summer days have been mostly spent hanging out at home on the farm and I am totally ok with that. It seems during the rest of the year, even though we homeschool, we are rarely home. We are often on the go to classes, museums, activities and to our homeschool co-op group and classes. I cherish and look forward to when we do not have to leave the house for days! The boys have spent a lot of time so far this summer swimming in the pond, riding bikes, archery, ball games, frisbee and exploring. What you do not see in these images is the time they spend on a screen. Please know that although we limit this time, they still spend time on electronic devices each day. I’d like to be a summer-screen-free family, but, we are not. I also feel like I have to mention, that although it appears via my photos that we have a perfectly quaint life on a farm, that it is also full of hard work and not so perfect days. My boys also spend a lot of time helping us around the farm and in the large gardens. They are big helpers with planting, weeding, mulching, picking and harvesting veggies, etc. (we pay them for their hard work). Some days are full of sibling rivalry, tears, whining and claims of boredom. We are just like most families. I sometimes feel guilty for not #keepingitreal enough.
Go have a look at my Part two of May!
