Today I enjoyed viewing the blog posts of a few photographers that I admire.
I found what I enjoyed most, other than their incredible talent, were the posts and images of their own lives and family!
This inspired me to attempt to share more blog posts with personal images of my children and life on our farm.
So I will start with some random images from the last couple of weeks!
………………………………………….
Silas, tending to our flock of hens. I love that he loves to care for the birds!
I always stress to my clients that I want to capture them with their children, this is why I do not really schedule just baby or child portrait sessions, I like to make them all family sessions! I need to take my own advice and get in more photos with my children.
So a few weeks ago at our favorite local swimming hole, I used my remote to get in a few photos.
Do I love the way I look? No.
Do I hate being on that side of the camera? Yes.
Do I regret taking these? Never!
I want my children to have images of me with them! So I plan to do many more, and I will stop waiting for tomorrow…..
My tough guy Sam is so very gentle with our animals.
Maxwell, such an amazing big brother.
This is my favorite place, our screened in porch.
And I am ever grateful to call this my yard.
And how could I forget old Teddy Bear, our Golden/Lab/St. Bernard mix.

THE CHICKENS!!! Oh my gosh! That first image is gorgeous. So are the rest… but the one of you little man holding the chicken with chickens all around him… An amazing photograph! I hope you have that one printed huge and displayed on your wall!! <3
Sorry. Hens. Hope the ladies aren’t insulted! :)
