Poland Ohio Newborn Photographer | Lifestyle Photos at Home with Dad and Baby

As a Poland, Ohio Newborn Photographer, I think it is so important to include both parents into the photo session! So here is a blog post dedicated to photos of this sweet new baby boy with his Dad! And some with both of his boys!

Listen, I know most Dads (probably around 99%) are not thrilled about the thought of a photo session. But I promise, that almost every dad I have ever photographed will tell you it was an easy and relaxing experience!

I also know no one likes staring into a camera and slapping on a smile, so I always tell parents to not look at me. Seriously! Just look at your baby! Ok, I will tell you to look at the camera for just a few photos. Otherwise sit in your favorite leather recliner, or the comfy rocker in the nursery, and just rock and hold your new baby!

I loved that Dad sat in his favorite chair holding his two sons. And I was able to capture so many sweet images in the short time that the big brother also sat with them. Which is totally ok! I am an expert at photographing toddlers so I know very well how fast they move! I have a handful of tricks up my sleeve to capture moments like this.

As a Mom to three boys (my first two were the same age difference as these sweet boys!) I know how much Mom and Dad will treasure these kinds of images as their boys grow. It would be so fun to recreate these images as the boys get older!

And a s a Mom to older boys I can’t help but sit and think of all of the fun moments he will have with his sons. Teaching them things like how to ride a bike and kick and throw a ball. Big brother showed me his toy leaf blower so I know he already loves to help Dad out around the house and yard!

And as a photographer, I also really want to capture those kinds of moments as kids get older.

Those twinkly lights in the background will always be a reminder of their little early Christmas gift because their second baby boy was born in December.

So as much as we all love the precious photos of a baby with his Mom or the baby with their siblings, let’s not forget how important it is to get photos of baby with Dad! And they can be as simple as Dad sitting in his recliner by the window.
