As a Pittsburgh Birth Photographer, I have had the opportunity to work alongside some of Pittsburgh’s best midwives and doulas! In this post, I am going to list some of them for you.
Pittsburgh Birth Centers:
Unfortunately, Pittsburgh only has one freestanding birth center. Fortunately, the one that we have is amazing! I had two of my babies here! If you have any questions about my experience, I am happy to share. Just send me a message!
I think it is important to note that, unlike hiring a home birth midwife, you will not be connected to just one midwife during your pregnancy. At TMC, much like an OBGYN practice, although they do their very best that you get you to know each midwife on staff, you will get whoever is on call when you go into labor.
Pittsburgh Homebirth Midwives:
While there are more midwives in the Pittsburgh area, these are the three with whom I have attended births.
