Family Photos at home before moving

I just love working with this family! Unfortunately, like a handful of my other favorite Pittsburgh families, they plan to move away in the very near future. They are headed west and will be moving all the way across the country!

I was so very happy when they asked if we could do family photos at their home before they moving out of Pittsburgh.

This is one of those awesome family’s that I have photographed more than once and they have become more than just “clients”.

I photographed the births of both of their daughters at West Penn Hospital and I did an in-home newborn photo session for them when the birth of their second baby did not go as planned. Although I was present to photograph her birth, she was whisked away to the NICU immediately after she was born so I was unable to provide them the same kind or amount of photos as I did from the birth of their first daughter. Thankfully, although she was born a few weeks early and had to spend time in the NICU, she was strong and healthy.

Their oldest daughter is already a toddler and the baby was very close to taking steps during our session!
(I imagine she has figured it out by now and is walking all over the house!)

Our session took place on a chilly autumn day but we were able to step outside onto the front porch and out in front of the house for part of our session.

When I do an in-home session, I am happy to head outside into the yard or even on a walk around the neighborhood to take more photos!

The whole session does not have to take place inside the house.

I loved that we got some photos out in front of the house so these girls will always get to see what their first home looked like!

Although I am super sad to see them go, I wish this beautiful and awesome family all the best when they begin the next chapter in their lives. I am beyond grateful that they chose me to be their photographer again and again. It really means so much to me! I am so happy that we did their family photos at their home before they pack up and move their family out of Pittsbsburgh.
