Here is a look at one of my recent family photo sessions!  The main reason for our session was to capture some photos of them with the newest addition to their family, a fluffy puppy!  Meet Soka, the cutest little Golden Retriever!   My dog is part Golden, so I may be partial to this breed and I definitely left their house with a major case of puppy fever! 

 I really love to document the beautiful chaos and craziness of real life with children and pets.
And this is just a glimpse at what an ordinary afternoon is like at their home.
(which is quite similar to my home and probably yours too!)

I want to photograph your adorable and crazy children in their natural environment.  I want to get photos of them playing with their toys and jumping on their bed or photos in the kitchen of them eating their favorite snacks.  I even want to document the mischief and mayhem.  I feel like photos in your home are more meaningful than being photographed in a park that you may have never been to before or with props that have no significant meaning.

I know that like myself and most parents, you probably also love the crazy, quirky and silly things that your kids do.
Even if it makes us crazy sometimes, like when they mistake the house for a gymnasium.

Don’t you want to preserve their personalities and the fun and crazy moments of your family’s everyday real life?

These kinds of sessions are fun and stress free.
Your family will proceed in your normal real life routines and I’ll
casually be hanging out with you documenting the usual daily activities.
(as well as the fun chaos, everyone has chaos in their homes, right?)

While I am there we’ll probably chat about life, raising kids and the crazy things they do.
And some of the time I’ll be quietly hanging out in the corner just snapping away.

It’s that simple.

No posing.
No forced smiles.
No stress of picking out new outfits
and getting everyone “camera ready”.

I truly love photographing families in their homes and I especially love this family.
I have been photographing their family for years and they are more than just clients.
Like a lot of my repeat families, they’ve become friends and part of my photography family.

I can’t thank this family enough for allowing me to come into their home to document their beautiful life.
