In 2014, a beautiful woman with the sweetest Southern accent, contacted me and told
me that her and her husband were finally expecting a long awaited baby!
She decided that she wanted to hire a photographer to document each step of the way.
I was more than honored when she chose me to photograph her Maternity Session,
her Birth Session and her Newborn Session!
I initially met them in person for their Maternity Session,
and right away I knew I would love working with them!
They were such a fun couple and they brought their sweet dog along for the session.
Fast forward to a few weeks later…..
Very early one morning I received THE text telling me they were
headed to Magee Womens Hospital because it was baby time!
I grabbed my bags and headed to Oakland. Thankfully I have documented quite a few births at
Magee so I knew exactly where to go and where to find my clients at Labor & Delivery.
They decided to not find out if it was a girl or a boy, so this made the birth a little more exciting!
I loved that the staff put out a hat of each color….what will it be, pink or blue??
I guessed pink…
Mom labored most of the morning but before we knew it, it was time to push!
She was so strong and amazing and gave birth to a perfect baby…. BOY!
Immediately her new son was laid on her chest and she and Dad got to be with him for a bit before the
nurses took him to be cleaned, get his footprints, weighed and measured.
Look at all of that beautiful dark hair!
Look at this beautiful Mama, just glowing and gorgeous and totally
in LOVE with her new son, Jackson.
