Yes, I Want to Photograph the Older Siblings! | Fox Chapel Newborn Photographer

As a photographer that has photographed many families and babies in the Fox Chapel area, I’m often asked if I can include the older siblings in the photos and my answer is always yes! My newborn sessions are family focused and I want to include the entire family!

This big brother and sister wanted us to get some photos outside so we began the session in their yard where they showed me their play set. It began to rain so we took a fun family photo and hurried inside so their new baby brother would not get rained on.

However, these kiddos have gone to a forest preschool program where they play outside all year long so the rain did not scare them at all. I raised my boys on a farm and they played outside no matter what the weather was and I think it’s so important to acclimate your kids to all weather conditions.

After we headed inside, I got some photos of the older kids with their baby brother and some of the whole family together.

I love how authentic their family shots are. I always want my images to show how unique each family is that I work with. I never want my photos and sessions to be so similar that they all begin to look the same.

During my photo sessions I always capture some in between moments of the older kids and them hanging out with their parents. I love to capture the kids playing with their favorite toys. It creates a memory for the families to remind then of what toy or items they were most interested in during that time.

Big brother is really into setting up his train set and big sister carried around her treasure box full of glitter stickers during the entire session. She even decorated my camera for me!

I loved meeting and working with this adorable family! I enjoyed hanging out with the kids and I hope I get to work with them again in the future!
