Family Photo Session | Beechwood Farms Nature Reserve

Here is a full blog post from a fun family photo session that took place at
Beechwood Farms Nature Reserve with this beautiful Pittsburgh Family!
Although there were rain, clouds and thunderstorms in the forecast,
I was so happy that this Mom and I agreed to just go for it as planned,
because it ended up being a perfectly beautiful evening for a photo session!
(I swear the forecast is never right!)
When this family arrived at the park, I could not get over how adorable her boys were.
They had been to Beechwood before, so they seemed prepared to explore and play!
And that is perfectly fine with me because my favorite kind of family photo
session is when I get to capture all of the fun and natural moments.
Especially those special moments between a Mom and Dad and their children.
I know I say this often, but this was one of my favorite sessions!
I really hope that I get to work with this wonderful family again in the future.
I am so thankful that this beautiful Mom chose me to photograph this time in their lives.
I know choosing a photographer is not always an easy decision, especially when there
are so many great photographers to choose from in the city of Pittsburgh.
But I have had many clients tell me that they choose me because
I am not your typical family portrait photographer.
My lifestyle/documentary family sessions do not involve stiff posing
or bribing the kids to sit still and smile.
This kind of session is much more enjoyable and laid back .
It is a stress free and pleasant experience for the whole family!
There is no pressure to get that portrait perfect smile because
I capture so many real moments full of genuine smiles and laughter!

Beechwood nature reserve in Fox Chapel is such a beautiful location!
If you are local, be sure to take the family there sometime.
There is a fun natural themed play area with logs to climb on, underground tunnels and a cute clubhouse.
You can also hike on the many paths and explore down by the pond to look for frogs, turtles and fish.
You are bound to see some beautiful birds, bunnies and squirrels!
