I have had a few people reach out to me wondering if I was still booking newborn and family photo sessions and my answer is YES! Absolutely!
I know we are all experiencing something we have never dealt with before in our lifetime and everything seems so uncertain and even scary. We are all trying to continue to live our day to day lives as normally and safely as we can.
However, there are many things we cannot do anymore like have big parties or big family picnics, go see our favorite band play live, or even relax at the movie theater. And there are many other things that are done a little or a lot differently now. However, I am still more than happy to photograph your new baby or family!
I know it is still important for families to capture images now before your babies or kids get any bigger because we know how very fast that can happen!
However, I also know you may be hesitant to do so during this time.
I assure you that I will take all safety precautions to keep you and your family (as well as myself) safe. I will implement:
-wearing a mask
-maintaining a safe distance inside and outside
(I have lenses that are perfect for this!)
-not handling your baby or children
-rescheduling should I feel ill in any way
Also, have peace of mind knowing that my family has been pretty excellent at social distancing. We only visit with a couple of other families and my husband works outside with just a few co-workers.
And although I normally do newborn sessions indoors, we can absolutely do all or part of the session outdoors. I am willing to do whatever it takes to make you feel comfortable.
However, please note, due to current hospital policy, I am not currently booking Fresh 48 sessions or births at the hospital, with the exception of homebirths or births at The Midwife Center (unless their policy should change).
I also totally understand if you may not feel comfortable booking right now so I am very flexible with scheduling. I will pencil you in for a date and if things are still uncertain when that day comes, I am more than happy to bump your session further into the future when you feel comfortable. I will not charge a rescheduling fee and it’s ok to bump your date further back more than once.
If you are expecting or have a newborn baby, it is also more than ok to wait until baby is a little older to have a photo session! Check out this blog post where I talk about why I love photographing older babies!
Unfortunately, this meme is kind of accurate and amusing. I will admit, people may not know I am booking sessions right now because in all honesty, I do not feel like now is the right time to market my business on social media. However, I am booking and I would love to get you on my schedule. So shoot me a message for more details or to book your late summer or fall family photo session!
