This is part two of my casual family photo shoot in Pittsburgh with this adorable crew! I tagged along with them while they explored the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden and I took so many photos that I had to create a second blog post to share more of my favoirites! You can see the first blog post here!
In my last post, I discussed how this is called a documentary family photo session or it can even be called a candid photo session because there is very little posing involved and the images are very candid or casual and reflect real family life!
The Botanic Garden in Pittsburgh is very family friendly! In addition to the exploration and play area for kids, there is a sandbox and a little spray pad for the kids to rinse off and cool off in!
They also spent some time just relaxing and playing in the grassy area by the pond and using dad as a jungle gym! What I wouldn’t give to leap back in time to have more images captured like this of my husband and I just hanging out together with our three sons…
So if the thought of planning, scheduling and preparing for a typical family photo session totally stresses you out, then I need for you to consider something different for your family!
Consider a more casual photo session where you do not have to stress about finding the perfect outfits and more importantly you do not have to stress about how your kids will behave! Just let them be themselves while you explore and play together!
All you have to do is invite me along to document the fun for you! I can even help you come up with some location ideas!
I love when a family picks a location that they frequent often and somewhere that is special or meaningful to them, but it’s also ok to pick somewhere new that you might be exploring for the very first time!
