Family and Maternity Photo Session at Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh

I recently did photos for a beautiful family that will always be special to me because I photographed the birth of their first daughter!  We did a family and maternity photo session at one of my favorite places in Pittsburgh, Phipps Conservatory in Oakland!

Sadly, this family moved away from Pittsburgh but they have asked me to do a session any time they are back visiting! 🥰 This time, Dad surprised Mom by hiring me for a photo session while they were here! 

I don’t often shoot just maternity photo sessions but I love to do a family session when the mom is expecting. It’s a great time to do photos before welcoming another baby into the family! 

This beautiful family is expecting their third daughter! 💜💜💜

I made sure to capture a lot of photos of their current “baby” before she becomes a big sister and middle child! They moved before she was born so it was so awesome to meet her! 

It was a very rainy and chilly day in Pittsburgh and I am so grateful to have Phipps as an alternative location when you cannot shoot outdoors, cannot use the clients home and cannot reschedule!

Please note, that you must ask permission to do a photo session while visiting Phipps. In some cases, you may be asked to pay a photographers fee and adhere to their rules on where and when you can take photos. When I take photos there, I do my very best to not get in the way of other visitors.
