Neshannock Township Newborn Photographer | Baby Ruby and Her Parents at Home

As a Neshannock Township newborn photographer, I love meeting new families and chatting with them for a couple of hours while I photograph them inside their homes with their new baby! I’m a lifestyle newborn photographer and I do not have a studio, so all of my newborn sessions take place in the comfort of my client’s homes!

The families I work with love the convenience of having me travel to them and they also love not having to leave their house with their new baby!

I also do not pose babies and I do not bring or use a bunch of props. I prefer to take a much more natural, pure, and relaxed approach to photographing a newborn baby.

I love to use the outfits, blankets, wraps, and other items my clients have rather than bringing “props” to their homes. I find this keeps your session unique to your baby and your family!

I also LOVE to include the parents into a majority of the photos!

Ruby’s Mama found me on Google and contacted me a couple of months before her due date to book their in-home newborn session. She asked if I served Neshannock Township (which is part of New Castle) and I was happy to tell her that I only lived twenty minutes from her and I was able to fit them on my schedule!

When Ruby was two weeks old, I arrived at their Lawrence County home and spent about two hours photographing her with Mom, Dad, and their fur-baby! I typically photograph newborns around two weeks old, however, I’m happy to wait until baby is 3-4 weeks old, or even older!

With a lifestyle newborn photo session, there is no rush to schedule in those first two weeks. I am in awe of all the moms that are ready to do it two weeks after having a baby, I know that is not easy to do! Those first few weeks can be so very challenging. Just know, I leave this up to my clients. You let me know when you are ready and I will never push you to schedule too soon.

We spent the majority of the session in their very lovely sunroom. It let in the perfect amount of sunlight! We also took some photos in the living room and up in her nursery. When I go to a home for a newborn photo session, I like to pick the rooms and areas of the house with the best natural light. Sometimes we will stick to one room and sometimes we will do three. It’s really all about the light and where the family feels comfortable.

During my photo sessions, the baby runs the show. If they need to take a break to eat, cuddle or get a diaper change, we take all the time they need to make them comfortable and settled. I also love to photograph the feedings and the burpings and the Mama cuddles. After baby Ruby had a snack, I got some photos of her all by herself before we headed up to the nursery.

Meet their adorable Berna-Doodle, who is a lot more Doodle than Bernese Mountain Dog. But he is super adorable and almost looks like a stuffed toy! He was so gentle around the baby and I was very impressed at his standing up skills!

Look at that precious little smirk! I try my very best to capture these during all of my newborn sessions!

I really love to see how unique each nursery is and I really LOVED the pale pink wall color they chose for her nursery.

As always, it is such an honor for me to be chosen as a newborn photographer to capture images for a family. I know there are MANY photographers out there to choose from and the decision can not be easy! Thank you so much to this lovely family for picking me and inviting me into your home to photograph your precious baby girl! I hope to work with them again in the future! And yes, I will travel to Neshannock Township!
