As a Bridgeville family photographer, it’s always an honor when a family chooses me to photograph their family over and over again! This lovely family hired me when they first moved to Pittsburgh to photograph their baby girl when she was just six months old.
I photographed them again when their sweet girl was one year old and again when their baby boy was six months old! And this time, their baby boy had just turned one so we had a family photo session in their new home in Bridgeville

“These are awesome!!! I’m so glad we had the shoot at the house – such a great, different set for us. Thank you SO much for these photos, I love seeing the dynamics of both kids and their moments together, the funny shots with the hats and sunglasses, eating an ice cream sandwich, they are just so special.” -C (aka, Mom)

I love photographing families in their home! When a photo session takes place at my clients house, everyone is much more relaxed and at ease. I welcome snack and drink breaks, clothing changes, play time and even cuddles and nap time. I encourage my families to behave as they normally would any other afternoon of the week.

This adorable family played with toys together, had lunch, the kids played in their bedrooms and big sister had a special snack while her baby brother went down for a nap. Unfortunately her little brother was not feeling his best, I hate that he was not feeling himself, but it made for a lot of snuggly photos with Mom and Dad.

Although every mama loves a photo of their sweet babes laughing and smiling,
I love to document all of the emotions and I know most mamas love these kinds of photos too.

And like most of my blog posts, I am totally oversharing! There are a lot of images here but I love for everyone to see a large example of what a family photo session is like with me! Just seeing the very best 10 images may not be enough for someone to decide if this is the kind of session for their family! Although if you ask me, I feel like this kind of session perfect for EVERY family!

Isn’t it time to try something different? Instead of a family photo session where you stress about the weather being perfect or worry that your kids might loose their shi*, consider a photo session where no one has to do a song and dance to make the kids smile. A session where the photographer captures the true emotions and personalities of your children. A photo session where you say no to “cheese” and awkward posing and say yes to having fun and just being yourselves! Where you do not have to bribe and beg your husband kids to cooperate!

I strive to keep the entire process stress free. The last thing Moms and Dads need to worry about is having a photo session. We have way more important things to worry about. Do not let the fear of a stressful experience hold you back from booking something for your family. And please do not allow yourself to make any other excuses. Now is always the perfect time. I PROMISE that you will never regret it.

This photo below is why I usually don’t put my camera in my bag until after I get in my car when I leave a photo session! I just love when little ones go to the window to wave goodbye to me! I had so much fun hanging out with this family again and look forward to another session with them.

I know that you’re thinking, that this might actually be perfect for you and their family. Maybe you’re thinking that you want to remember this special time in your kids lives before they grow any bigger….and if you are a parent, you know how damn fast these kids grow. So I urge you to not put it off any longer. Get in touch today and let’s talk about a session for you and your unique and beautiful family.
