I had the honor of doing a Fresh 48 session for baby number two and baby number three in this family, so I loved that Mom contacted me to do another Fresh 48 session when she was expecting their fourth baby!
Unfortunately, due to the Covid pandemic, Pittsburgh area hospitals are still restricting the number of visitors allowed so we decided to do their session at their home so we could include her big sister and big brothers! Actually, it was a Fresh 96 photo session because this precious little baby girl was four days old for her session!
Since the covid pandemic, I have not done an in hospital Fresh 48 for over a year and a half but like many other businesses, I’ve learned to “pivot” and offer my clients alternatives when we cannot do sessions as we had originally planned.
If I am unable to do a Fresh 48 for my session due to visitor restrictions at the hospital, I offer my clients a Fresh 48 session at home or a full newborn and family photo session.
You might be wondering, what even is a Fresh 48 session!? This is when I go to the hospital within the first two days (48 hours) after a baby is born to capture images while a baby is very “fresh” and brand new. You can learn more about them here!
I loved how much big sister loved on her new baby sister! It’s clear that she is going to be a 2nd Mama to the new baby in the house. And this baby is lucky to also have two big brothers to look out after her as she grows up.
