Here are images from my in home session with a sweet little newborn baby and sibling photos in the South Hills of Pittsburgh.
Although I love to work with first-time parents and their new baby, I really love photographing a family after they have had their 2nd or 3rd+ baby. Not all photographers include older siblings into a newborn session but I am more than happy to include them! In fact, I will take a lot of photos of just your older children as well as images of them with their new baby brother or sister.
My lifestyle newborn and baby sessions are actually just family sessions, with your newborn baby. And I always include the parents in the photos.
I was lucky enough to have photographed big brother when he was just a few months old and that will always be one of my favorite sessions with an older baby. So of course, I was so happy to be asked to photograph their second son!
I was actually supposed to photograph the birth of their second son but COVID once again changed the plans for yet another family and yet another one of my planned birth sessions. However, having newborn photos was the next best thing that I could do for them.
I love to see how the older siblings react to the new baby, especially when they are around 18 months to 3 or 4 years old.
Sometimes big brothers or sisters have a “meh” take it or leave it attitude, and sometimes they immediately fall into their role of an older sibling and want to help and hold and cuddle the new baby. Much like big bother M did.
Baby A was exactly one week old for our session and this sweet baby slept almost the entire time I was there! He peeked at us for a few seconds and fussed just a little, otherwise he was completely content which I have found to be pretty common for second babies.
For part of our session, we played outside in the yard.
Mr. M showed me his fancy car.
And like most kids, he loved being tossed around by his dad.
Once we were back in the house, he also showed me all of his trains.
I really loved hanging out with this family again for their newborn baby and sibling photos in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. I look forward to photographing these two brothers in the future.
If you are interested in a newborn or family session in 2020 please do not wait to get in touch. I know life gets busy and these things tend to slip to the bottom of the to-do list, but it’s time to make it a priority!
If you are concerned about booking during the pandemic, check out this BLOG POST.
Please get in touch before my schedule is filled up! I only accept a limited number of clients each month, so once my schedule is filled, it is filled. I can’t wait to hear from you and to plan a unique session for your family!
