This is a family that you may recognize from my other blog posts! I was their birth photographer for their adorable baby girl and then they moved away from Pittsburgh! I got to photograph them last fall at the Carnegie museum when they returned for a visit and I met up with them again a few weeks ago in North Pittsburgh at Randlyland when they had to come back to Pittsburgh for another visit!
If you have never been to Randlyland, it is a fun and unique place to visit! It’s a great place for out of town tourists or when you play tourist in your own city!
Randyland is located in the Mexican War Streets area of Pittsburgh on the North Shore of the city. This has always been one of my favorite areas of the city, just across the river from downtown.
Randyland is full of interesting objects and is quite cheery because everything is painted in very bright colors and designs!
I absolutely love fun family photo sessions like this! Although I love to photograph a family at their home, I’m also always happy to go on an adventure with your family! With this kind of family photo session, you get to relax and just be yourselves!
When you contact me about your session, we can brainstorm all of the different adventures your family can go on!
Please note, that if you want to go here for a photo session, contact them ahead of time and pay their session/photographer fee or drop a nice donation in the donation box!
After we explored Randyland, this awesome family treated me to lunch, again!
We headed a few blocks away to The Federal Gallery!
I loved how this place was operated! “Federal Galley is Pittsburgh’s food hall and restaurant accelerator featuring four unique restaurant concepts. Chefs operate their restaurants rent-free and fee-free for their entire stay with us. Galley Group collects 30% of the top line revenue and in turn provides all marketing, advertising, equipment maintenance, space upkeep, and utility costs.”
And Ro was seriously one of the best toddlers I’ve gone out to lunch with!
Her Mom and Dad have been taking her out to eat since she was tiny, so I think she is just used to it!
As always, I love hanging out with these peeps. I love how some of my clients become way more than that and we become friends.
They left me the kindest review on Google.
“We may not live in Pittsburgh anymore, but Mary Beth is still our favorite photographer! We’ve made the 10 hour trip back to PGH twice in 6 months for family photo sessions, and we will probably be back for more! We first met Mary Beth when we were trying to find a birth photographer. She was extremely flexible and professional, but also very personable. We loved her right away and didn’t see a need to look any further. She was so supportive throughout the whole process, and we definitely feel like we made a lifelong friend. Thank you so much for the work you do!” -Anthony
