Family photos downtown Pittsburgh on the North Shore and Clemente Bridge

For this session, they chose a location in the city so we decided to do their family photos downtown Pittsburgh on the North Shore and Clemente Bridge!

This wonderful family has hired me so many times since their son ‘O’ was a tiny baby! I photographed his newborn session, birthday parties, family sessions at home, and sessions at the park. So of course, I was super sad when I heard they were moving away from Pittsburgh!

Unfortunately, it was a very hot day on the day of our session and little ‘O’ had a late night so he was not really in the mood for taking photos, so it’s a good thing I do not require a lot of posing and smiling at the camera for my family sessions.

Of course, I do all I can to get a few photos of everyone smiling and looking at the camera, however, for the majority of my session, I allow the kids to explore and just lead the way while I capture those natural and candid moments.

One of my main goals is to keep your session as stress-free as possible! I never want you, your spouse, or child to feel pressured to perform for the camera. I just want you all to comfortably be yourselves!

The north shore has had these art installations for as long as I can remember! Their son had fun climbing on and mostly under them…

I wish this beautiful family all the best as they begin a new chapter in their loves, on the West coast!

I love how the art added a pop of color!

O was pretty tired by the end of our hour and he was happy to have Dad carry him back to the car.
