Mars Baby Photographer | Mary Beth Miller

This photo session was a little different than my usual newborn sessions but as a Mars newborn baby photographer, I was able to pivot and adjust to the situation and still capture beautiful images of this precious little girl!

This is the third baby that I have photographed for this family! They now have three beautiful daughters! I am sure you know how much it means to me to have the honor of working with them so many times.

Unfortunately, the four-year-old middle sister in this wonderful family is currently battling a rare form of Leukemia and her Mama only found out the day before this baby girl was born.

Just days after her third daughter was born, Mom had to split her time with her middle daughter at Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh and in this hotel room with her oldest daughter and her brand new baby so she could be close to the hospital. I can only imagine what this was like for her and her family.

It was important to Mom to capture images of her newest baby while she was still tiny and new so we decided to proceed with doing her newborn photos at the hotel and do more of a mini newborn session of just the baby.

I was 100 percent on board with making that happen for them. Although Mom did not want to be in the photos until her family was reunited back home together (I totally understood!) she still wanted some of just the baby.

Their hotel room had a beautiful large bed with a white comforter and amazing light coming through the large windows.

I really look forward to doing a session for the whole family when big sister Claire is feeling well enough! She is such a strong and brave little girl I know she will win this battle with Leukemia! And soon they will all be reunited together in their home. I hope that you enjoyed viewing these images by me, Mary Beth Miller, Mars newborn baby photographer!
