I often get asked if I’m able to travel to certain areas outside of Pittsburgh for photo sessions and my answer is almost always, yes, absolutely! Recently I was asked if I served Lawrence County and I’m happy to report that yes, I’m a Neshannock Township family photographer! I will also travel to other areas within and around Lawrence County!
This family is a little extra special to me because these beautiful kids belong to my lovely niece so that makes them my great-nieces and nephews! That makes me feel old to say that but I became an aunt when I was only six years old so I was also pretty young when I became a great aunt. 😉 Thankfully I am known to them as “Aunt Mare-Mare” and they do not refer to me as their Great Aunt. 😁
It’s been too long since I have done a photo session with this adorable crew and their Mama needed a new family photo! I give her a ton of credit because she is not only great at taking her kids photos of their everyday life, but she is really good at printing photo books and hanging photos all over the walls of their home! It was also her birthday the day after we took photos so this was my birthday gift to her!
Let me tell you how I not only get a little emotional about my own kids growing up, but I have been very close to these kiddos since they were born. I even got to attend and photograph most of their births! So needless to say I got totally teary when I started editing this session. Unfortunately like all kids tend to do, these kids are growing up much too fast! The oldest is already taller than me!
But like my own kids, I absolutely love to see how they are growing and changing and seeing the young adults that they are all becoming. I cannot wait to see what they are all like ten years from now!
And of course, after some photos in their pretty outfits, they got to play in the cool creek water! Their Mama is amazing and takes all six of them to explore the outdoors often, even when it is cold out! These kids can hike more miles than some adults and they have a great love, interest, and knowledge of nature. I love that they can spend hours in this creek playing and looking for salamanders and crayfish!
It’s always fun hanging out with this crew and I love that we chose to do their session right next to the creek that they visit and play in often.
