Last month I had the honor of photographing yet another birth for another wonderful Pittsburgh family.   The soon to be Mom contacted me just weeks before her due date and I was so happy that I was able to fit her into my summer schedule.  In the early hours of the morning I received a text that they were already at West Penn hospital so I grabbed my bag and headed into Pittsburgh.  I arrived around 5am and I was happy to see that Mom and Dad were getting some rest after she received her epidural.   As the sun began to rise her labor intensified and soon it was time for her to start pushing.  A short time later they finally got to meet their precious baby girl!   She had a pretty fast labor and delivery, especially for a first time Mom.

I really love the time that I get to spend with my birth clients!   It is such an interesting way to get to know someone as they prepare to meet their baby.  And it is so heartwarming to see how wonderful the Dad’s are as they support their partner while she is in labor.   I never take for granted that I was invited to witness and document such an intimate time for a couple.   Thank you to all of my birth clients that chose me to be their birth photographer!   And an even bigger thanks to these families that allow me to share their images with you!
