Here is another sneak peek blog post!   Last weekend I photographed another precious newborn baby with his parents!    Just a few weeks ago, this Pittsburgh family welcomed their second baby boy into their lives!   Baby Bennett was fast asleep when I arrived to their home, so this gave big brother a little time to get to know me before I started taking photos.   He is just over two years old so I know having a new baby in the house is quite an adjustment.   But he is already such a great brother, he even kissed and held baby Bennett for some photos.

I never try to pose or “bribe” a child into doing something they may not want to do just for a photo.  This is usually stressful on the kid, the parents and the photographer.   Instead, with some gentle guidance, I prefer to photograph a family naturally doing their own thing.   The last thing I want to do is add stress to a family that just had a new baby!    My newborn sessions are always very laid back.   I like to get photos of the family just relaxing on the couch, in a bedroom or in the nursery together.

Seconds after I took this photo, baby fell asleep in Dad’s arms.

I really enjoy the time I get to spend with these families.
We always chat while I work and by the end of the session I feel like
I was hanging out and photographing friends.
I hope my client’s feel the same way!
